Passing, Away From Home

We are becoming more and more a mobile society. Careers take many of us to all corners of the globe. Retirement communities have sprung up across the country and our families are drifting further and further apart. But, the situation is manageable. We can arrange for your loved one to return home. From as near as Florida, to as far away as Italy. We have the experience to make sure that your loved one is returned home – wherever it may be.

Bringing Your Loved One Home

We have partnered with a network of Family Owned – Independent Funeral Homes throughout the United States. Our affiliations insure that your loved one is removed from a residence, nursing home or hospital expediently, and in a dignified manner. We can coordinate with the local agencies to complete the paperwork and secure transportation back to New York. Our directors personally attend to the transfer at local airports, and transport your loved one back to the Brueggemann Funeral Home for services, and burial. We suggest that if someone should pass away, away from home that you contact us first. Our first contact with an area funeral home ensures that you don’t incur any additional charges from them.

Repatriating Your Loved One

There is no place like home and we know that the bonds of family aren’t broken in death. Many people want nothing more than to be laid to rest with family in their native town, or country. We can handle all arrangements to see your loved one arrives home, safely. We are experienced in the time, and channels needed to repatriate an individual after death. We will handle all local documentation and certification of records, coordinate with the United States Department of State and your home country’s Consular offices as well as your Licensed Funeral Director or undertaker back home; then arrange for transportation and handling with our preferred broker or your chosen airline.
