  Barbara Tallini was such a beautiful lady, and now she is a beautiful angel. I will always remember her smile—it came alive the most when she was surrounded by her grandchildren, who meant everything to her. Her love for her family was endless, and that is how she will always be remembered. May she rest in peace and continue to watch over all of us. ❤️

  TOWN OF HUNTINGTON. Barbara A. (Picerno) Tallini, 85, of Huntington Station, New York, passed away after a brief illness at Hospice House on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, surrounded by her family. Barbara was born in Queens, New York on January 12, 1941 to the late Salvatore Picerno and Mary Scott DiPerto. On June 4, 1961, she married Anthony Tallini, and the two shared 65 years of marriage. The love and bond they shared was powerful, the kind of love that is very hard to find. Barbara was a loving, devoted and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all. She was a selfless person who always put her family and friends first, devoting her life to caring for her parents, her husband, her children, her grandchildren, her relatives and friends, and the family pets. Family and friends were everything to her, and she would drop everything to be there for anyone who needed her. She attended every school and sporting event for her children. She was always the class mother, and she drove her kids and their friends everywhere. Barbara was a fantastic cook who always made room in her house for everyone, and she was famous for her macaroni and meatballs. If someone did not have somewhere to go for a holiday, she invited them. She loved shopping with her children, dancing, bowling, going to the casino, going to garage sales with her best friend, and cooking for everyone she loved. She was the glue that held the family together. Family vacations were the center of family life. Summer camping trips took them all over the United States, from Disney to Myrtle Beach to Lake George, traveling across the country in a motorhome and visiting every amusement park from New York to California. Family and friends were always invited to come along. Barbara made every grandchild feel special. She attended their sporting events, brought them on vacations, snuck them money, and always arrived bearing gifts, whether it was something delicious she made, a special treat, or simply quality time with each of them. When one of her grandchildren became ill, she effortlessly and lovingly accompanied her daughter and grandson to every doctor visit, no matter where it took them. Her life was being there for them, and they loved her immensely. She was blessed to see her two great-grandchildren, and they lit up her face every time she saw them. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Anthony Tallini; her children, Anthony Tallini, Jr. of New Hyde Park, NY, Mary Lou (Sean) Keenan of Poughkeepsie, NY, and Lisa (Mike) Heffron of East Northport, NY; three grandchildren, Peter, Brittany and Patrick; two great-grandchildren, Callie and Sean; and her brother, Salvatore (Jan) Picerno of Alabama. Barbara will never be forgotten, and she will always feel the love that her family and friends have for her. She is at peace now and no longer suffering, and that is all her family wanted for her. She will be sorely missed by her husband, who says it best: "I can't be sad at what I lost, but happy with what I had."

  Anthony Malgioglio

  I met Mrs Tallini more than 40 years ago as the mother of one of my best friends. I remember her as always welcoming, a smile on her face and a mother who was more than happy to feed a bunch of ravenous college students, no matter what time of day or night we happened to be there. I know that God will welcome her into his arms with the same love and affection that she has shown all of us.
