When Dan and I first moved to 4th Street as new homeowners, Lou and Betty welcomed us and were the best neighbors anyone could hope for. We were also so blessed to have Betty as a caretaker for both Jennifer and Brigid. Betty was so kid and warmhearted and she always had one or more children on her lap cuddling in the big chair and listening to the stories she read or singing along to the children's songs. Both girls always came home with "Betty stories"- about the chocolate chip waffles, the little play table, trips to the park-and Betty took so many pictures of the children that allowed us to see them growing up and playing while we were at work. These photos are cherished memories just as we cherish the beautiful and extraordinary woman who gave so much love and joy to us and others. Betty remains forever in our hearts. Love , Dan, Maureen, Jen and Brigid

Aunt Betty was my mom's best friend and mine and my sister's godmother. I can remember so many times as a child going to her house and I have so many pictures of my mom and her. When my mom passed away, Aunt Betty kept checking on me - even though I was 24 yrs old, she took her job as my godmother seriously. She was always there to help me with a problem, and offer advice. I didn't get to see her as often as I would have liked, but she was so good to my husband and I when we did visit. I loved to receive letters from her in the mail, every time I saw that beautiful handwriting she had, it made my day. She will be missed by all that knew her. My thoughts and prayers to Uncle Lou and my cousins, Lou, Tom and Bobby.

Betty helped raise me from the time I was in diapers until elementary school and even then still helping out here and there. Betty made me waffles and chocolate milk every morning when my dad dropped me off. We snuggled on her reading chair, went for walks to the train station and the library playground. Betty took care of me as one of her own and I felt her love. Betty sewed a mouth on my favorite stuffed animal "bear"so we could talk...I still have my bear, or my "sidekick" as Betty called him. She took me to Irish step dancing and swim lessons, which eventually became my life. I was so sad when I became too old for a babysitter, but was so grateful for the time I spent with her growing up. I'm so grateful to my parents for finding her. Betty has always been very special to me and will always hold a special place in my heart. Love you Betty, Rest in Peace. Love, Samantha.

We met Betty when my husband and I were both working full-time and searching for the best quality care for our two infant and toddler children. We had an immediate connection with her loving, kind personality. She was married to a similarly kind and loving man who together were raising three incredible boys. We knew this was a match made in heaven for two inexperienced young parents who were looking for perfection in childcare. Betty cared for our children as though they were her own family. She fed them, read to them, took them to various activities, and we knew always that they were in safe, loving hands. She documented in photographs for us, a multitude of those highly cherished moments that many parents might not yet know would be forgotten to time, photos that we can relive whenever we miss those days of their youth. We will always be grateful for the time that we had with Betty in our lives. She was our Angel when we needed one and now Heaven has gained another Angel. Rest in Peace, dear Betty. Love, Tom, Kathy, Tommy and Samantha
