Obituary For Chris L. Christie

Chris L. Christie, 80, loving husband of Liberata (Libby) Christie passed away on October 6, 2022. He was born on February 15, 1942 to the late Anges and Leon Christie in Washington Heights, NY. Chris is survived by his wife, Libby, their daughters, Christina Christie (Michelle Parra) of Pasadena, CA, Elizabeth (Jared) Gavzy of New City, NY, his four beloved grandchildren, Zoe and Ella Gavzy, Grace and Eli Parra-Christie, his siblings Rosalie Christie and George (Laurel) Christie and his adored nieces and nephews.

Gifts in lieu of flowers may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.

    You cancelled your first date with your beloved because you were going to be an uncle for the 2nd time. I felt your love my entire life. You cared for me, loved me and encouraged me. You were a pillar in our big Greek family. You brought Ross and I Santa Claus. Who does that. You drove Pop around to all of our homes, your friends homes and neighbors. Who does that. You were a wonderful husband, father, father-in-law, Popou to your 4 beautiful grandchildren who adore you and were the light of your life. You are going to be so missed by so many friends, relatives and especially cousins which there are many. Rest in eternal peace my Uncle. We will see you on the other side. I am sure Yiayia and Popou, Big Yiayia and Big Popou, and your in laws, Beatrice and Peter are so happy to see you. May your memory be eternal. XO
