Dana and I had many great memories over the years. After meeting on HYB, we remained great friends throughout middle and high school. I remember going to breakfasts together after Saturday morning practice, sitting at countless swim meets together, and many fun sleepovers. Dana had such a unique and positive personality that was unwavering. I am forever grateful for the time we spent together and I will never forget her. My deepest condolences to Zoey, Jody, and Lance.

We didn't know each other that well, but the times spent together were magical. You had a better grasp on Epilepsy than I did and gave me hope for the future. Our times together were never based upon our seizures, but our dreams and going all out with adventure! Your new adventure awaits and your wisdom will live on!!!

I'm so saddened to hear of Dana's passing. She was a brilliant, enthusiastic student in my 10 Honors class at Northport High School. She had such a kind heart, and I so admired her drive to push herself despite her illness. She was one of the most courageous people I've known, and so wise beyond her years. Dana was beautiful inside and out, and touched everyone's lives who were fortunate to know her. My deepest condolences to Zoey and Mr. and Mrs. Wade. May your sweet girl rest in peace. ~ Pam Uruburu

My sweet Dana is the love of my life. She has such a beautiful soul and a heart of gold unlike any other. She brought so much happiness and joy to my life every single day. She cared about everyone else more than herself and would give you everything she had even if she didn't have much. She would go above and beyond at every opportunity and would make sure I always felt so cared about and so loved no matter what. She battled Epilepsy her whole life, and fought to overcome so many obstacles, but never lost her joyous spirit or her kind soul. She was truly the strongest person I have ever met. She inspired me every single day to be the best I could be and to stay strong in the face of adversity. I will miss you everyday of my life Dana. You are my soul mate and I will keep your memory alive for as long as I live. I LOVE YOU

Dana you truly were one of a kind friend. I will never forget the first time we met on my mom's bus back in elementary school and sat next to each other the whole ride to school. We instantly became friends from that moment. You always lived life to the fullest no matter what challenges got in your way. I'll miss all the unforgettable memories we shared over the years. From tanning in your back yard to grabbing lunch at Northport deli, to late night talks on the phone about boys to sleepovers and many more. Love you long time and rest easy beautiful girl. You will never be forgotten.

My husband, Fran and Lance were soul mates and shared laughter, good times and bad times. We lived in Colorado and any time he had to work in NYC, the Wade family insisted he stay at their home. During these years, Fran developed a very close relationship with Dana and Joey. He always brought great stories home to share with me. Some about boating, some about eating at fine restaurants and others about just relaxing at home. Jodi made some of his favorite dishes. Rest assured that Fran was waiting at the Pearly Gates for your beautiful and lovely Dana. May your memories of her bring peace and comfort to your family. My deepest condolences.

Dana I want to thank for being my first friend in 6th grade when we started middle school. I am so fortunate that I met you then. We shared so many memories together. From all the sleepovers on schools nights telling our parents we had to "study"for school, bike rides, Lisa's buffalo grille, car rides, boy talks, Macy's Forth of July Parade, Taquitos, Caumset with Roxie, prom, getting your tragus pierced together, sunflower fields, nail appointments those are just a few to list! I will remember them all. You battled so hard and fought everyday. I wish you nothing but peace and love. You will be missed by a lot. Rip sweet girl.

Dana will be so missed. I am so grateful for the years I got to spend with her. She brought so much light to my life and gave me unforgivable memories. She always put others before herself and truly deserved the world. No one knew how to make me laugh like Dana did. Thank you for everything you did for me and thank you to Roxy for being by Dana's side through it all, too. We all love you so much, Dana, and you will never be forgotten.
