Danielle, you have been such an important part of my life for more than 50 years that I can hardly imagine you are gone. Roommates in college, helpers at each others' weddings, young mothers of three consulting each other about child-rearing, and both becoming teachers--our lives followed the same track decade after decade. Although we lived in different states, our yearly get-togethers with our families and our classmates Annie and Esther kept us close. Those reunions provided endless hours of talking and cooking (with you as the culinary champ), punctuated by visits to the gardens and museums that we all loved. And there were extraordinary adventures as well: the trip to Hawaii that you suggested to celebrate our 60th birthdays, and later our Baltic tour, featuring visits to Peter the Great's palace, a reclaimed ship in Sweden, our favorite Estonia -- not to mention sharing a Danish in Copenhagen. All these things will stay in my heart -- Carol

Danielle was a wonderful lady with a huge heart. She was there with me during the worst of times when we lost a dear friend over nine years ago. During 2021 year, Danielle spent countless hours over several months translating a family history book of 274 pages as a gift to my Italian family still residing in Italy. This gift help bridge the gap between families in Italy and the United States. Our family cherishes this book and a copy resides in the library in Cusano Mutri, Italy. Her work will now live on through countless generations. While not as often as I hoped for, Danielle always made the best of my visits to New York. Her cooking was exceptional and her laugh filled the room with joy. Danielle will be forever missed.~ Roger Hall
