    Prayers for the Dunn family.

Flo Dunn was my Brownie Girl Scout Leader. She was at my home a lot with my mother (Debbie/Yolanda Palo) and "the Blue Army Girls." We would gather around the statue of Our Lady of Fatima to pray the rosary for decades. Afterwards, the ladies would have coffee, many desserts, laugh heartily and talk. She was a Holy and sweet soul! The Pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes talked about her after Mass on August 1 to the congregation. He said she was once secretary at the rectory in Queens Village. I remember her bright red coat and the unforgettable Volkswagen Bus from my childhood. She is in the Heart of Jesus and His Immaculate Mother, Mary.💖 Bernadette Palo

A sweet gentle woman, a member of the Blue Army for many years, devoted to the The Blessed Mother. My mother, Yolanda Palo was one of her dear friends at Our Lady of Lourdes church. My sister and I will have a Mass said in honor..more than one, Sha deserves it.🙏💒

    Rest In Peace

  • 08/02/2023

Seems like I've known Mrs Dunn/Flo my entire life, guess it has been 55 years or so. I was always by the QV house while in OLL Parochial school and I was always included in many of the family outings. Mrs Dunn was a very nice lady, I recall her always with the NYT doing the crossword puzzle. She was a woman always on the go, running the kids (my friends) to all the various extra curricular activities. You always knew it was Flo driving in QV with the signature red/white Volkswagen Van, sometimes by herself, with the Dunn kids or many other kids in Brownies, Girl Scouts or Webloes! And other times it was with her QV Lady friends. Again, she was always on the go and usually quite fashionable while doing so. I send my condolences and prayers of comfort out to the entire family and caregivers. May Floracita (my Mom loved that name, even though she called her Flo) Rest in Eternal Peace. In God's Name we pray.
