I am very sad to learn of Jim's passing I'm very sad for Pam and your families and friends. He was a great acting teacher to me and my best friend Jenifer. He taught me a lot about me and what I needed to work on as a human. I believe he is one of the Angels who look over us now. It's nearly a couple years later but I really felt I should say something because he made such a huge impact on my life. Much love and light to all - Erin Kelly Booth

We have known Jim a long long time, since high school. He was the all star, all league center on our championship football team. After I left Rutgers the first time, we weight lifted together at the Huntington YMCA where Jim taught me to do some power lifting. My dead lift PR was set then at 612 and has held since. I still work out in the gym here in south Florida, probably because Jim used to push me to work out with weights. During the ensuing years, Jim and I would bump into each other around the Huntington area and sit and chat and a couple times we got together for lunch. We went separate ways in our work lives, but seemed to run into each other all the time. Later, he opened up his acting studio in Manhattan and he invited my wife and I in to see his holiday shows. We saw I think 2-3 of them which were outstanding. We had fun with Jim, his then girlfriend Pam, now wife, and his students. Very high quality shows I might say. We've seen over 35 Broadway shows and Jim's students were very well prepared just like Broadway show actors are. Pam and he moved out to Long Island to live in the house his parents raised him in. I must say, anytime Jim messed up, he would come out and admit it and say he was going to make himself a better person, and always did. Hi s curriculum vitae show what kind of drive he had. I remember he started off life married young with children working like a slave in a Korvette's record department in Commack, and years later, being a regional manager of 12 stores. But he left the business world for his vocational love, acting. He gave me one of my biggest compliments ever which I will always remember. "He said he was always happy and felt the world was right, knowing that I was still walking around on the planet, even if he didn't see me for years" Little did he know, that he inspired me in many ways that made me better. And I know his acting students feel the same. Pam, we mourn your loss. Please take solace knowing that many many people mourn with you. He was a giant.

Dear Pam. I am so sad to have read about the passing of Jim. My heart is breaking for you remembering your intense love of him. A love I am sure was directed back at you. You and Jim's family are in my thoughts and I pray that you all can find peace knowing that he is not suffering. I just thought of a quote from Winnie the Pooh, "If there ever comes a day when we can't be together, keep me in your heart, I'll stay there forever."
