Condolences

My brother Kevin & I knew Jimmy rather well - we were down-the-block...a little further than Tommy Fone. We are sadden to hear of his passing - our condolences to to all.

I had the honor and pleasure of working for and with Jim at LGA. In addition to being extremely knowledgeable and hard working he had the amazing ability to make folks laugh without being mean or insulting. I will miss his professionalism and irreverence. May the family be comforted along with the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

I had the pleasure of working with Jimmy at JFK and then LGA. Jimmy was a great guy and excellent Police Officer/ Sergeant, y ou knew he always had your back if things got dicey. Jimmy was also one of the funniest guys on the job, loved listening to him do his funny bits while on a break in the Reserve Room. My sincerest condolences to Jim"s family. RIP Brother.

I lived around the corner from the Blair family and was a year or two ahead of Jimmy at Holy Innocents School. I was delighted to see he and his brother Gene working with me at the Port Authority Police. Jimmy was a fun guy who always had a good word for everyone and was a very knowledgable Cop. I was a Detective Sergeant at LaGuardia and our paths met often. A good man gone much too soon. May God Bless him, and hold him in His heart.

I lived next to the Blair family and went to Holy Innocents School with Jimmy and his brother, sisters and cousins. I have good memories of Jimmy and my prays are sent for him and his family.

I went to school with Jimmy at Holy Innocents in Brooklyn. I remember a guy who laughed and smiled with a big heart. I haven't seen him in close to 60 years. My thoughts now are of him and I wish peace for his family.

Jimmy Blair was a great guy - always fun to be with and a good cop to boot. He (along with his brother Gene) was one of the first to introduce himself on my first day at JFK and offer his assistance. He knew his stuff and I never forgot his kindness. We shared some great yucks over the years and the PAPD has lost another class act. May he rest in peace. He spoke often about his great family and my sympathy to them.

I worked with Jimmy a lifetime ago at JFK. A great guy to be around, never an unkind word from him or about him; great memories. The world is a lesser place with him gone. My deepest condolences to all who loved him.
