So glad we got to see him last year. He was the same guy I remembered. And I'll always appreciate how he reached out in my father's last years. ... Rest in peace, Uncle Jim.

    Jimmy

He spent much of his time with us imparting us with his wisdom and advice on life. He would always regale us with stories from his youth that would catch our attention and be hard to forget. He would also always be keeping us up to date on headlines that caught his interest, emailing and texting articles that would be a good read or watch. Some of my favorite card games that I went on to teach my friends was taught to me by him and I still enjoy them to this day. He was loved dearly, and will be missed even more so.

I'd like to share some memories of Lolo. I remember growing up, Kuya and I would tease Lolo and he was always such a good sport about it. I interviewed him for a report in middle school and he shared stories of his service in the Navy and space missions with me. I had the coolest report in the class. He and Lola came to visit us in California and in Florida, and I remember how much fun it was to play Rummikub with them. I am grateful for principles and morals that they instilled in my father, who in turn shaped me.

My dad taught me many lessons whether I wanted to hear them or not. He taught me to work hard. The early bird gets the worm. How to fish. He taught my girls the same way. Now his great grandson Amari is learning to fish the way he taught my girls. We will carry on in him honor

    Jim McCormick

We spent precious time together while Jim was in home and inpatient hospice. We knew you as our parents for these many years. The time we had together in hospice was sacred and precious. Seeing you and Mom find each other in your final moments together transcended time. For those moments together, you were the two people we see in the wedding photo. Young, vibrant, and deeply in love with each other. We miss you dearly. Jim, Dole, Jimmy and David.
