Obituary For Joan Mulroy

MULROY - Josephine "Joan" of East Northport on January 20, 2026, at 97 years of age. Josephine emigrated from Ireland to the United States in 1954. She was the devoted wife of the late John. Cherished mother of Brendan (Marie), and predeceased by her daughter Siobahn, son Sean, and daughter-in-law Elizabeth. Treasured grandmother of Grace, Mairead, and Sean. Josephine worked as a nurse and midwife. She loved to dance, but especially loved her family. Visitation Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Brueggemann Funeral Home - 522 Larkfield Road, East Northport. Funeral Saturday, 10:45 AM at St. Anthony Of Padua RC Church, East Northport. Interment to follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Huntington. www.bfhli.com

    Condolences to Brendan and Maria on the death of Joan Lynch Mulroy, her grandchildren Grace, Maraid and Sean, her sister Margaret, the Lynch family, Mt David, Shanagolden, and the Mulroy family. My husband John and I have been friends with them since 1964 but I have been friends with the family in Shanagolden forever. We lived on the same block in Elmhurst for years. John Mulroy got me my first job in New York in Pan Am in 1961 when I first came to America. Never forgot the horrendous deaths of John, Sean/wife and several members of John's family in the Lockerbie disaster, and Siobhan's untimely death. You went through many trials and tribulations. Joan, Rest in eternal peace. Margaret and Maurice Bohan.
