Joe was simply the answer to prayers as Chief Superintendent at QCC. He understood immediately what needed doing and got it done. But most of all he was kind and treated everyone with respect. What sadness to lose him so early. Sending love to his family. Karen Steele

Joe and I worked closely together for 10 years at QCC, and he was a dear friend. Our work together was always challenging, from bringing exciting new projects to fruition, to dealing with crises, of which there were many. Through the most challenging times, Joe and I never had a bad moment. Joe always showed up with everything he had. We also managed to have a lot of fun. In my 40 year career, I have never met anyone with such dedication, as well as ability. I doubt I will again. Joe's death is profoundly sad. My sincere condolences to his family and loved ones, and all who grieve his loss. Sherri Newcomb
