Porter - Joseph J. of E. Northport, NY, on December 26, 2021, at the age of 61. Beloved son of the late Donald J. Porter and Concetta Porter. Cherished brother of Maria Lane, Salvatore (Fran), Veronica and Donna. Loved by his nieces and nephews, Dakota, Georgiana, Victoria, Brian, Danielle and Madison. Treasured by many aunts, uncles and cousins. For many years he battled the autoimmune disease, CIDP. On Thanksgiving morning, he suffered a bilateral stroke, on our mother's 83rdbirthday. He studied aviation at the Academy of Aeronautics. He was an airplane mechanic for Pan Am Airlines and later worked at the NYC MTA. He also worked diligently as a security guard for Commack School District. He loved Jeopardy, space exploration, crossword puzzles and old movies. He was generous, brilliant, funny and selfless. He had a heart of gold. God welcomed a kindhearted Angel into the Gates of Heaven. Funeral Mass Friday, December 31st, 11:00 am, at St. Francis of Assisi RC Church of Greenlawn. Interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y
