What a pleasure and an honor it was to have known Kathy for over 40 years. The minute my sister Maria brought her husband Jimmy and the entire Welsh family into our lives, we knew Maria had struck gold. Kathy and her siblings quickly bonded with our family from the very beginning, and shared their love of life and family with us. We shall always hold the kindness and warmth Kathy shared with us in our hearts. For that, we are truly grateful.

From the time you were giving me reading lessons before I entered St. Phillip Neri in 1954 until our last conversation a few weeks ago: All I've received from you has been an understanding heart, kindness and so very much love. Through all the years when I think of my sister Kathy, I think of beauty and kindness and intellect and laughter. You were the most wonderful sister. I love you and may you rest in God's peace. Your brother, Eddie Welsh
