Dear Family, My heart is broken for all of you . I never had the honor to meet Luca but I feel like I did. His Aunt Julianna spoke so highly and fondly of him , and it was always so evident she loves him as if he was her own son . How proud she was of him and his accomplishments here at college , being a RA, and just an all around wonderful human . My heart broke when I read of his passing . May he rest in eternal peace . God Bless . With deepest sympathy , Jennifer Temple

Always friendly, and caring. He said hi to me every single time I saw him. We'd exchange compliments on each other's appearance because we both went to the gym. I'm gonna miss those moments. May he rest.

I am resident at orchard hall and I recently just became friends with Luca. Everytime I would see him we would wave to each other. It's unfortunate to receive this news but I do know that he is with the lord resting 🤍. I pray peace over his loved ones for this time. The Bible does speak about peace Jesus gives to believers—a peace that is different from anything the world can offer ( Philippians 4:7). I'll be keeping you guys in my prayers 🤍

Luca was a great person to be friends with-he was funny and smart- he was very charismatic and wasn't afraid to raise his hand in class and offer his thoughts. He was a form of encouragement at the gym and during class. I am so heartbroken to hear that he is gone, words can't describe how devastating this is both for me and his family, his community, and everyone he knew. I will forever keep him in my thoughts, and there's no telling how many lives he would've affected in his law enforcement career. My heart goes out to his family and close friends.

My condolences to Luca's family. He was a really great friend and an RA to me. He was always helpful to everyone around him. He had a bright spirit which everyone loved. I will never forget the kindness he showed me when I first got to Farmingdale State. We would always bicker in a friendly and joking way and I will miss that. One other thing he was known for, was his passion for bodybuilding and I would always find him at the gym everyday. I am honored to have known him. He will be missed by many. Rest in peace Luca.

Im so grateful to have been given the opportunity know Luca Cassinelli. When I first met him, he shone so brightly. The first time we spoke, I felt like I'd been missing someone like him my whole life. Luca had a way of making me feel seen. No matter what was going on, he never failed to make me laugh, and somehow every conversation with him felt easy. He was stubborn, loving, funny, and all the way till the end, he was himself. Our story wasn't simple, but that's what makes it meaningful to me. Luca was someone who cared deeply and wasn't afraid to let people know how much they meant to him. He was filled with love and joy. He pushed me to put myself first in my life; to never be afraid of change and new experiences. I'm grateful for every conversation, every laugh, and every memory we shared. There are so many things left unsaid. I always thought there would be more time, more conversations, more chances for us to see each other and get our coffee together. I never imagined that our last goodbye would happen without either of us knowing it was going to be our last. No matter how complicated life became, Luca held a unique place in my heart. Since the moment "Hurricane Luca" stormed into my life, to our last time together, I will always be grateful to have our memories, especially the ones that will always and forever be just ours. Luca was always able to read me and my mood, and he'd say "You know I'm studying to be a state trooper right, I'm supposed to be good at noticing things." And that he was. He never liked it when we called each other our first names and he'd only ever called me "Miss". I never thought something so simple would become something I'd miss so much. He never failed to cheer me up when he noticed I was down. He never failed to make my feelings heard and seen. I find myself replaying our memories over and over again, wishing I could experience them one more time. I wish we had more time to experience each other in the way that we both wanted to. Luca, thank you for caring about me the way you did, thank you for the laughs, the memories, and for being such a memorable part of my life. No matter where life had taken us, we always managed to come back together and make the most of what was left of "us". Accepting that you're gone has been one of the hardest things I've had to do. I will forever be grateful to have been able to experience Luca Cassinelli. I miss you more than words can ever say. Until we meet again, state trooper. Forever and always, your 'miss'

Luca I had just met you for one night at the Sport Management Club Yankee game. You seemed so excited to be there and you even bought yourself a hat. You seemed like a really cool dude and I knew you were going to do great things in the future. It makes me happy to know you got witness the Knicks win it all before you pass. I wish I got to know you more. May your soul rest in eternal peace.

Luca and I only spoke once when we interviewed for the same job position as a Resident Assistant at FSC. But aside from that, we shared a classroom together. I could tell he was intelligent and passionate for what he wanted to do just from seeing him talk in class. I saw him everyday. Whether it was in the dorm building, the dining hall, or just walking around campus, I seemed to always run into him. And although we were never friends, something inside me broke when I heard the news. It's going to be very odd not seeing him around anymore. He will be extremely missed at FSC. I offer my deepest condolences and sympathy for his family and close friends. 🤍

My dearest Luchino, Since you left, memories keep coming back to my mind every day. There are so many of them, and each one is a piece of my life that I will carry with me forever. Life gave me an incredible gift: the chance to find each other again and reconnect after such a long time. Being able to forgive each other, say sorry and make peace not long ago was something truly beautiful, a precious gift that I will treasure for the rest of my life. There are people that time cannot erase and who, in ways that are hard to explain, always keep a place inside us. You are one of those people. I shared moments with you that made my life more beautiful, lighter and fuller. We had a bond made of complicity, smiles, looks that said more than words and a way of being there for each other that, in its simplicity, was something rare. These are the kinds of connections that never fade away because they become part of who we are. You taught me so much, even without knowing it, and you left me life lessons that I will always carry with me. If I am the person I am today, part of who I have become is also because of you. You left a deep mark on my life and on my heart. I could tell a thousand stories about you, a thousand smiles and little moments that still bring your memory back to me today. But none of them would truly do justice to the extraordinary, lively and beautiful person you were. Losing you has left me with a pain and an emptiness that will never completely go away. Still, I will carry you with me every day, in my thoughts, my memories and in everything I do. Because there are people that time cannot take away, people who continue to live quietly in every part of us and who, somehow, stay forever. Life is terribly unfair sometimes. I will remember you forever. Forever, Your Battina

Luca is survived by his father, Raul Cassinelli, and mother, Joanne Passaretti; his grandparents, Anthony and Anna Passaretti, and Paola and Franco Cassinelli; his Aunt Julianna; and his cousins, Travis, Jordan, and Sydney. Luca had many passions and interests. Aside from his studies, he dedicated himself to bodybuilding and could be found at the gym every day. He loved music, watches, cars, and, most recently, motorcycles. Although his life was tragically cut short at such a young age, Luca lived a full and meaningful life. Born and raised in Milan, Italy, and cherished spending vacations with his family in Huntington, New York. He was fortunate to travel extensively, enjoying family cruises throughout the Caribbean, exploring the Italian Alps, and taking memorable trips with his parents to Munich, Germany, among other destinations. Luca was also fortunate to experience one of life's greatest gifts—love. He formed deep connections and shared meaningful relationships, leaving lasting memories with those who knew and cared for him. Luca will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his passions, and the love he shared with family and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

I still remember during high school how excited you were to go to New York to continue your studies. At that time we shared a lot and you've always been there; you were like a brother to me, my Fratellone. Still can't believe this happened. Love you, Giulia

Dear Family, Our hearts are broken for you. Seeing Luca's sweet, handsome face on this page took my breath away. What a joy I can only imagine he has been to you all. He looks like a young man who has been dearly loved and blessed by a loving and supportive family. I did not have the chance to meet him, but Julianna always spoke of him so fondly I feel as if I did. I believe that one day I will have the chance to meet him - in Heaven - and I will be blessed for that. How I wish he did not leave you all so soon. I know how deeply saddened you must be. May you find comfort in knowing that he could not have possibly had a better family than all of you. Though his life was far too short, it was filled with peace, love and joy. With deepest sympathy, Carla & Jackson Langford and Family
