I knew Lucy vicariously through her daughter, my very dear friend Marianne. Through her wonderful art that hangs in Marianne's home, and through the myriad family stories I've enjoyed hearing over the years from Marianne and Cass. My sincerest condolences to the family, especially to Bob, and please know that Marianne is loved and looked after by her west coast family too. May Lucy rest in peace.

I was a watercolor painting student of Lucy Taylor for many years at the Art League. Her classes were so popular that we had to hurry to reregister every semester. We had a won derful group of women - almost like a sisterhood-. Lucy's sister Rose was in our class as well. We would meet for lunch each semester and thoroughly enjoyed the friendship of the group. I am so thankful for having had Lucy's expertise in teaching how to paint with watercolors. I always remember her famous quote," Less is more!" I am also thankful to have had Lucy as a friend! I am so saddened by her passing! At Christmas time 2020 I called Lucy and we chatted for a long time. I will always keep the memory of Lucy in my heart.🙏🏻🙏🏻💖💖Emily Gray Moreno

We first met Lucy at an art fair in the 1970s. We were taken with her construction watercolors, two of which now are in our daughter's home. We are also privileged to have several of her works in our home. Our deepest condolences to the family of this most talented woman. - Doris and Dick Muffoletto

To the Taylor family, I have known Lucy for over 40 years as a student, mentor and friend. I spent so much time in her watercolor classes that at the beginning of a new session we would laugh as she would say I was her oldest student. Years later she asked me to teach a beginner watercolor class at ALLI. I will be forever grateful to her as it brought me many rewarding classroom experiences. There are so many good memories of Lucy and her family in my heart. Even though it is impossible for me to be there Friday, my thoughts and prayers will be with you all day. My deepest sympathy to you all.

Lucy was also such a wonderful artist, and she was always so happy to share her talent with everyone! She was an etraordinary teacher for children and adults of all ages- She touched the lives of so many- we will miss her. Joy Weiner and Kristina Schaaf
