FACINELLI - Mario of Northport on August 11, 2023 at 97 years of age. Mario immigrated to the US with his family from Revo in the Italian Dolomites in 1936. He grew up in NYC’s Hell's Kitchen, and became a supervisor of subway car maintenance for the NYCTA, overseeing the mechanics who kept NYC trains running. He biked, hiked, gardened, travelled, and could fix anything. He loved sharing a good meal (preferably with his own vegetables and always Romano!), told stories that made us laugh and cry and, above all, loved time with family. The cherished husband of the late Karin, and beloved father of Linda (Greg) Dodge, John (Lara Manuel) Facinelli, and Lorie (Bruce) Martin. Treasured grandfather of Whitney, Clif, Lydia, Daniel and Lina. Visitation Friday, August 18, from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm at Brueggemann Funeral Home – 522 Larkfield Road, East Northport.
