She retired from the Town of Huntington in 1995, was a member and treasurer of the “Seniors of Huntington” and was honored for her service in 2018. She enjoyed playing cards and was an avid bridge player. Devoted wife of the late William Sweeney Sr. Cherished mother of Christine, Dorothy (Niels) Christiansen, Joan (John) Dolen, Laura (Paul) Moran, and William, Jr. Treasured grandmother of Ryan (Elise), Aileen, Brenna, and Anna Dolen; Kimberly, Patrick (Emily), and Colleen Moran; Erica, Peter, and the late Julieanne Christiansen. Great grandmother of Marcus and Walter Dolen. Sister of the late Joseph Palm. Visitation Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Brueggemann Funeral Home - 522 Larkfield Road, East Northport. Funeral Mass Tuesday, 11:00 am at St. Francis Of Assisi R.C. Church, Greenlawn. Private Cremation to follow.
