Rest in peace Melissa. You left us way to soon.

  • March 31, 2023

May God Bless her family and keep them in perfect piece. He will keep them close to his precious heart.

Melissa was my childhood babysitter and like a member of our family, living right down the road. My sisters and I have such fond memories of her braiding our hair, taking us to the park, playing with us in our backyard as well as hers, taking us out for ice cream and to visit Karen. She was the most caring and loving person and will be deeply missed. Deepest sympathies to her family and beautiful daughter.

Our hearts are broken with the loss of such a beautiful soul. Melissa was a source of light and love for all who knew her. She was the most thoughtful friend I ever had, sending little cards to our son every holiday. He received her Valentine the day before she passed, and said he will keep it forever. "Aunt Melissa" was so special to so many children, always making such a big deal about each of them. We were so happy for her with the birth of her sweet baby girl, and our hearts are broken that she won't be here to watch her grow up. Sending prayers to her family and baby. Melissa and I were childhood friends and I have such fond memories with her. From bike riding, to movies, to swimming , and of course endless hours of dialing into the radio to win tickets and prizes. While we lost touch in our adult years but thinking of her now brings joy of a great childhood friend who is sure to be sorely missed by all that knew her. To her family, may you find strength and may her memory be a blessing. Jaime Coffey Martinez

I was introduced to Melissa by a shared friend many years ago. Our lives have crossed paths from the beaches of Marshfield MA to NYC - walking in Central Park and enjoying dinner together with our URI friends. I have enjoyed listening to her wonderful traveling adventures, her time working in NYC, and the birth of her beautiful daughter. May her life be a blessing to all of us - her generosity, kind spirit and passion for achieving her dreams. RIP Melissa. You will remain in our hearts forever.

Her death is a shock to us who were so privileged to know her. We will long remember those beautiful expressive brown eyes.

Dear Niebling family, I'm a college friend of Melissa's and enjoyed many wonderful ski trips with her. She was truly one of the nicest and most lovely people I've known. I was in awe of her radiant presence. I know she worked so hard and created her beautiful dream come true this past year with her beautiful baby. I never heard her complain and my heart always expanded when I saw her. I'm a better person because she was in my life and was so kind to me. She was a blessing to us all. May her loving light always shine in our hearts. Love, Heather Walls

Melissa had a heart of gold and brought so much energy, joy and enthusiasm in literally everything she did. She opened doors for so many, seeing their potential and giving them opportunities to grow. She was genuine, loving, and caring and her shining spirit will forever live on. Although I knew her more as a colleague over the years, there is one thing that was crystal clear: she cared so much about her family and her smile was brightest when she spoke about her time with her family and of course Hawaii! My deepest condolences to Melissa's family and strength in this heartbreaking time. Lucile Noel

Melissa and I were childhood friends. We had lost touch over the years, but there are few memories that I have growing up that do not include her. When we were young, she was always a go getter. She taught me many things and truthfully I think of her even today when I do them. My heart is broken for the family. My sincere condolences and prayers to the entire family. Warm, upbeat, humorous, are only a few of Melissa's attributes. She was our daughter's closest friend and we enjoyed her frequent visits "down the shore" and her greeting cards for every occasion. We considered her to be a second daughter and she will remain in our hearts forever.
