Still can't stop thinking about your beautiful soul, gorgeous smile, generous and loving personality. I miss you every day Ray. I pray you are in a harmonious heavenly reunion with your mom today.

I had the privilege of knowing Ray when my daughter, Tedra, was dating Mike. He was so warm, kind, respectful and funny. It was always a pleasure to have him in our home. The world has suffered a great loss. He surely will never be forgotten. Ray and his family will always be in my thoughts and prayers. May God watch over him now and may he rest in peace. Raymond always gave and asked for nothing in return. I am sure he would speak these words to us: Epitaph by Merrit Malloy When I die Give what's left of me away To children And old men that wait to die.   And if you need to cry, Cry for your brother Walking the street beside you. And when you need me, Put your arms Around anyone And give them What you need to give to me.   I want to leave you something, Something better Than words Or sounds.   Look for me In the people I've known Or loved, And if you cannot give me away, At least let me live on in your eyes And not your mind.   You can love me most By letting Hands touch hands, By letting bodies touch bodies, And by letting go Of children That need to be free.   Love doesn't die, People do. So, when all that's left of me Is love, Give me away.

From Marisa Frasca Patinella: A few lines from a poem by John O'Donohue that speak my sentiments. Dear Raymond Jr: Though we need to weep your loss, you dwell in that safe place in our hearts where no storm or night or pain can reach you. Though your days were brief, your spirit was live, awake, complete. Let us not look for you only in memory. You would want us to find you in presence — besides us when beauty brightens, when kindness glows, and music echoes eternal tones.

It has been a very long time since I met a very honest, respectful, and brilliant young man. Raymond was that person. I thank God for having us be neighbors. Only the good die young. I will terribly miss you. Love, Vicki
