Bobbie, Greg and Glenn We were just about to send a Xmas card to Rose as we have always kept up over the years, decided to check first as I believe she didn't send a card last year after 42 years. I will always treasure the memories of her and Bob. Truly two of the nicest people I have had the opportunity of knowing in my life. With our condolences, Jeff and Gerry Lindstadt

To The McDowell family I have been fortunate to have known Rosemarie for over 40 years. First as an officer at the bank. She was so kind and always had the perfect smile. Later we touch base again in the medical practice where her and your Dad always greeted me with great conversation and just happy to share all kinds of stories. She will be missed. again my condolences on your loss. Denise and Joe Ferrandina

Dear Aunt Rose, as a kid I struggled after losing my Dad, you were always there for me, giving me a positive outlook when I saw none. I love you, and while I will miss you, I am happy that you are with Uncle Bobby. I have to believe that you and along with my Dad, all my Aunts and Uncles are finally together and smiling down on us. Thank you for being there for me, until we meet again.........

We were fortunate and blessed to grow up on Eldridge St , surrounded by our loving neighbors. I remember my "next door" neighbor Mrs. McDowell . We never called our neighbors by their first names , they were and always will be Mrs or Mr. Mrs ( Rose ) McDowell was the epitomie of grace and poise . A Beautiful Lady ...We , Barbara , Tom , I and our families have mae a donation to the Long Island Cares Food Bank in her name . Wishing her family Peace ...Frank Metzger

An amazing woman! The mother of my close friend, Bob. She was like a second mother to me. Always laughing. Always taking care of us. You know someone touches your life when you don't see them for years, yet you hold them in high regard, and when you think of them, a smile comes to your face. May you rest in peace, Mrs. McDowell. My love and deepest condolences to the McDowell family. - Roger Schwoerer
