Gunyan - Rosemary, nee Sheehan, 102 passed away after a short illness on November 30, 2020 in Burlington, NC. Born in New York during the pandemic of 1918, the youngest of seven children, it is ironic that she passed away in the pandemic of 2020. She met the love of her life and married John in 1941. Together they raised 5 children and were blessed with 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. only 2 months before she died she kept in touch with family through her Ipad and phone. She was a proponent of education and saw to it that her children had the means to choose varied careers. "Nana" had many stories to tell of her "life" experiences and all the history she lived. She was a great source of "oral" history to the second and third generations. In her late 80's she fulfilled her life-long dream of visiting Ireland, the land of her father's birth, not once but twice. She left an indelible mark on all the lives she touched. She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and a resident of Twin Lakes, N.C., for the last 15 years whose devoted staff cared for her with love. Funeral and burial will be in New York.
