CAMPBELL - Thomas A. of Huntington on December 24, 2023, at 96 years of age. A proud veteran of the US Army, and graduate of the University of Minnesota. As an aerospace-electrical engineer, Thomas worked on such projects as the Apollo Program, the Saturn V rockets, and later for Grumman Aerospace on the Hawkeye airplane project. He enjoyed travelling and spent many years as a guide at the Sagamore Hill National Monument and served as a docent at the Heckscher Museum of Art in Huntington. The loving and committed husband of the late Carol Ann. Cherished father of Thomas A. Jr. (Carol Jean), Mark (Susan), and Eric (Andrea). Treasured grandfather of Duncan, Katherine, Scott, Alexandra, Ian, and Aren; Great grandfather of Charlotte, Jack, and Olivia. Predeceased by his sisters Jean Mellgren and Marilyn Campbell. Visitation Friday, January 19th from 5 - 7 PM at Brueggemann Funeral Home - 522 Larkfield Road, East Northport. Funeral Service Saturday, 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Northport Rural Cemetery.
